Madison Square Park

Named for President James Madison, Madison Square was originally opened as a public park in 1847. The Park is a historical site known as the birthplace of baseball and home of the first community holiday tree in the United States. It is a favorite for dogs, kids and art enthusiasts who can view public installations renowned by artists. It's also home to the Shake Shack and events including live music and food fairs.
